1st day

From an email i wrote to my girlfriend, cut and paste from gmail seems to mess things up on Blog. Also sorry for the long hiatus, my "free" internet was cut off.

"First Day" at school turned out to be a major flop. I got caught in the rain, which is RARE in Boston. I was soaking wet since i choose to walk by the scenic route to school, which had absolutely no cover whatsoever. My suede Nike's are absolutely wet and ruined, though i figured i could probably get them back up in shape with the dry weather here.SO i reached Calculus class late and dripping wet. Everyone was taking a n evaluation test, so i trudged around to get a seat in the front of the class. (*cue* the stares)

Afterwards the Hispanic teacher launches in a crash course of functions & graphs, i am lost in a daze.Next class was Chemistry, the problem is Chemistry wasn't listed on myschedule cause it was pending permission to join. So i roughly remembered which Hall it was located at, but had no idea which room.So i ask, and i find out.Enter the LECTURE HALL, late, so guess wheres the availabl seats? Front Row Center , Good Lord. Thankfully i wasn't the latest, sat down, still nice and moist. It went rather uneventful, but still, apprehension ensued. So i figured my next class was Psychology, i walked briskly to the student center looking for a terminal to print out a schedule and to confirm that my final exam schedule did not clash. I found it refreshingly cool, that i could use the schools resources easily. Then i looked for Psych class on the sheet.....Horror.

I attended the WRONG Chemistry lecture. My Hall had been scheduled to another location andi mixed up the timings. So i walked all the way to the Hall where Psych was being held, up 3 flights of stairs, all this while fighting the streams of students following down the staircase. Enter the classroom, i managed to catch the Proffesor. Stuffy and snooty looking, she just says "read the syllabus and you can start reading, see you tomorrow..". *silence ensures* I walk off dejected, sure of the fact that lady is not getting any.

So i walk over to my correct Chem lecture, LATE, because i spent time
lecture, similar to what i heard earlier. The only diff, this lady was a fast and funny talker. She had alot of wit and she definitely was good. Looks like I have my work cut out for me, i'm gonna have to start grinding at the books soon.

iBabe

happens to be the name of my new 4th Generation Ipod. A pretty, hefty bitch with a 40gigabyte capacity, and only about 10 percent full at the moment.

Currently sourcing for any music to just dump into her, mostly albums and 1 or 2 singles every 30 or so tracks. It makes my Albums/Artists list look much better than it is, frankly.

A snapshot of the collections I'm ripping:
-Wang Lee Hom's Bu Ke Neng Cuo Guo Ni
-Aikawa Nanase's Singles Collection (Asia Limited Ed.)
-3 Evangelion OST's (all classical and very well-done, Mark if your reading this, they belong to you.)
-Cold Play's Parachutes
-Maxwell's Now
-Robert Miles' Dreamland
-KING OF FIGHTER'S OST (yes, this is my pride and joy. _not_)

I remember I would buy 6-8 cds a month back in secondery school, just because 1-2 tracks _sounded_ good to me. Time to clean out the garbage.

Update: The above 'collections' had skippy parts. Sigh.
Added - Smashing Pumpkins (Machina II/Friends&Enemies of Modern Music + Mellon Collie Dawn to Dusk/Twilight to Startlight)
- Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
- Prince - Musicology
- The Smiths - all their albums
- Need for Speed Underground tracks
- John Mayer Heavier Things
- G-Unit!
- Fujita Emi - Camomile Blend
- Eva Cassidy - Live at the Blues Alley
- Asian Dub Foundation - albums '95 - '00

I hate Jay Chou a lot.

And I mean A LOT. People who 'journeyed' through the Lxxn and Axxxs saga would understand my pain.

But it didn't occur to me that it could one day make me imagine things.

I'm quite sure that when I was walking in front of OUB centre, listening
to his latest Phillips handphone commercial blaring from the megascreen, that I heard him say 'Sia Chi Bu Yao Beo Wo de LAN JIAO'.

Weird huh.
